As urban and regional planners we develop long and short-term plans for the use of land and the growth and revitalization of urban, suburban, and rural communities and the region in which they are located. We help local officials alleviate social, economic, and environmental problems by recommending locations for roads, schools, and other infrastructure and suggesting zoning regulations for private property. This work includes anticipating the future needs and growth of an area which is particularly pertinent for the rapidly growing communities of the west. Our department is also skilled in the field of environmental planning with experience in wetland delineation, storm water analysis, watershed delineation, environmental site assessments, water rights, LEED compliance, advanced Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and more.
